Raging Waters, the premier waterpark in the San Francisco area, features over 50 acres of thrills and spills. With so many rides to choose from, it can be hard to decide which to try first. Here’s our pick of the best rides at Raging Waters, in no particular order
Location and Hours:
Raging Waters is one of the largest water parks in california It is located off Highway 50 near Sacramento, about an hour and a half from the Bay Area and San Jose. The park’s hours are 10AM-6PM on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays and Mondays, it’s open until 8PM. If you plan to visit during the summer, please bring sunscreen!
Admission Prices:
The admission prices for Raging Waters vary depending on what time of year you visit the park. For example, an adult admission costs $39 on weekends and holidays, while a weekday admission is only $29. Children are always free to enter the park.
Riding the rides costs extra money, but there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy without paying anything extra!
Parking:
It is important to note that parking near the front of the park is $10. Parking near the back of the park is only $5 per car, but guests must pay for all day parking. There are also a ton of free parking options on side streets and residential areas nearby. If you have a large group, please call ahead to see if they have any packages or deals available for your party size!
Rides:
The waterpark offers a ton of rides, from the log flume ride to the wave pool. But my personal favorite is the uphill water coaster – it’s a blast! If you’re looking for something less active, they have plenty of slides to choose from as well

Live Music:
Every year, Raging Waters hosts a number of live musical events for the public to enjoy. These concerts are set up on a stage near the middle of the park and take place throughout the day. Guests can relax on their blankets and enjoy great food as they watch talented musicians perform. Musicians come from all over so each event offers a unique sound. Some famous artists who have performed include Rob Zombie, The Roots, Cake and Winger among others. This year’s musical lineup includes Los Lobos, Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Chicago – just to name a few! Events start June 21st so check out the website for more information on how you can attend this amazing event!
