Walmart Neighborhood Market

Whether you are on a tight budget or are simply looking for a place to stock up on food and drinks, the Walmart Neighborhood Market is sure to meet your needs. This grocery store features a wide selection of products as well as fuel stations, a coffee shop, and other dining options.

Opening hours

Despite the sexy sexyness of its bigger counterpart, Walmart Neighborhood Markets are not really big-box stores. They are, on average, about one-fifth the size of Walmart’s supersized Supercenters. And they have higher operating costs, so they don’t stock the same products sold at larger Walmart locations.

Rather, they concentrate on Walmart’s most important product categories. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, grocery items, and everyday essentials like milk, eggs, and toilet paper. Walmart Neighborhood Markets also stock pharmacy items, stamps, and gift cards, but don’t have a large selection of electronics, gardening products, or clothes.

Walmart Neighborhood Markets are not the only store that offers the same ol’ everyday essentials, however. For example, Whole Foods Market is another major food retailer that operates 24-hour stores that are worthy of a visit, if you have a few extra hours to burn. And Walgreens operates stores that are open on all holidays.

Grocery selection

Located in 799 locations across the United States, the Walmart Neighborhood Market is a small grocery store that carries everything from groceries to household goods. It also features a pharmacy, deli, and bakery. The store features a similar look to a traditional neighborhood market, with wide aisles and bright signage.

Walmart Neighborhood Markets are smaller than a typical Walmart Supercenter, but they provide the same level of convenience and affordability. The store focuses on three of Walmart’s most important product categories, which are fresh produce, general merchandise, and consumables. The store is not as large as a traditional Walmart, but it is a bit bigger than a discount store.

The Neighborhood Market features a few of the same products you’d find in a Wal-Mart Supercenter, including meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit, and a pharmacy. Its non-food sections include fresh fruit juice, smoothies, coffee, and tea. The store also features a large selection of locally-grown produce.

Fuel stations

Across the country, Walmart operates gas stations in front of Sam’s Clubs and other Walmart stores. They do not sell gasoline branded by a major fuel retailer. Instead, they use gasoline from various suppliers. The retailer plans to build more fuel stations in neighborhoods, but will not disclose details about how they will operate.

Walmart’s gas stations are operated by Murphy USA, a subsidiary of Wal-Mart. They were previously operated by Wal-Mart, but the company broke off its 20-year relationship with Murphy USA last year.

At present, Walmart operates a few hundred fuel stations in the United States. They don’t disclose the fuel suppliers that they use or the gasoline formulation. In addition, Wal-Mart hasn’t said how it plans to maintain the stations.

The company plans to expand its presence in the fuel market, but it may be a challenge to operate stations at all. They will be built on the edges of Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters, but the stores themselves will vary. Some could be small, while others could be larger.

American Express cardholders

Several American Express credit cards offer special benefits at Walmart Neighborhood Market Stores. These benefits are not available to most credit cards. They include free shipping on Walmart stocked items, same-day free delivery on $35+ orders, and cash back.

The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass(r) Card, for example, offers a free weekend night certificate in addition to free nights with points. It also earns 5x points on eligible purchases.

The Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard is another good choice. It offers 2% cash back at Walmart neighborhood markets and select U.S. department stores, and it does not have an annual fee. It also earns unlimited 2% cash back at U.S. supermarkets, gas stations, and more. Read more on TodayTimeNews.

The Blue Cash Preferred(r) Card from American Express offers 3% cash back on transportation, transit, and rideshares, and 6% cash back at supermarkets and other U.S. purchase categories. You’ll also get 1% back on your purchases after you spend $6,000 annually. The Blue Cash Preferred(r) Card is good for big families or those who shop at grocery stores often.

Closures

Until a few months ago, Walmart had over 3,500 supercenters across the U.S., including Walmart Express stores, which are basically mini Walmarts that offer groceries and other necessities like toothpaste and toothbrushes. They were mostly in urban markets.

Walmart Neighborhood Market stores are less than half the size of a Walmart Supercenter and focus on groceries, fresh produce, meat, and pharmacies. They were a way to compete with Trader Joe’s and other smaller neighborhood stores.

Walmart Neighborhood Markets are also typically located in cities and towns. The store’s hours vary by location. For example, the store in Cabot, Arkansas was open all day yesterday and was supposed to close, but it will open again at 6 a.m. This store had its own Facebook page announcing its closure.
